What about LIFE

These pictures are from the past few weeks.  The first ones are of Dom's Dragon Fruit.  It had the texture of a kiwi, but it really didn't have any flavor at all.  I told him it was fun to try, but he should never spend $10 on one again. ha

We all got ready one Friday night to go to a Karaoke bar a few miles away.  We were way excited!! And when we came out into the living room, we realized that all of us were wearing scarves!! :)  So, of course, we had to take a picture together.

Sadly, the Karaoke bar was PACKED when we got there and they had decided to charge since there were so many people there.  We decided that, as starving college students, we really didn't need to do this in order to have fun, so we set out in the rain again to find something else to do.  It was POURING down rain harder than I've ever experienced! Megan didn't feel comfortable driving so I was driving her car and we were hydroplaning almost every ten or twenty feet because there was so much standing water on the roads! It was actually pretty exciting driving in it!! :)
We decorated our apartment and I bought this cute witch to go on our front door :)  She was only a dollar and I felt like it made our apartment feel more like home.

Our fridge is dumb and even though it's on a really low setting, it still freezes the most random things.  So this day, Megan was making French Toast for breakfast and when she got the eggs out, a few were cracked and stuck in the carton... but they weren't like oozing out or anything.  THEY WERE FROZEN. So, I decided to experiment a little because I was sort of facinated.  I peeled the egg and it was SO cool!! I probably messed around with it for a half hour. haha It was entertaining and pretty interesting too.

On Tuesday, Megan drove me to work and dropped me off.  Almost an hour later, there was a firetruck pulling up with its lights and sirens going like crazy.  My maneger walked outside and came back totally calm.  She said, "Someone's car was just on fire."  I thought nothing of it and kept on working.  Probably ten minutes later, my other manager who had left right before the firetruck came called and I had to give the phone to the manager on duty because I was working with a customer.  After the place had pretty much cleared out, she said, "So Sara... some news... that car that was on fire was Megan's."  My heart just DROPPED!  I later found out that she had gone shopping in the outlets and when she came back, she couldn't get her car to start so she called one of our roommates to go get her.  While she waited, she kept trying to get it to start.  Then she heard something funny and the car started smoking so she tried to open the hood but she couldn't get it open.  Long story short, a man tried to help her open it and said it was melted shut and somehow it started on fire.  The fire department came and put the fire out and now her car is toast.  I felt terrible.  That's not the kind of trial anyone wants to have and it's defintely not a cheap one either.  Lucky for us, I have an amazing sister who is willing to let me have her car a month earlier than planned.  Yesterday, they drove it down to me.  I couldn't be more grateful!!

Megan is a trooper.  I feel so bad that this had to happen!
