Day #3 in Norway

Wow! What a day! I slept all morning because I am NOT used to the time difference, and then we rode our bikes to Larisa's house for "dinner".  This is Peder.  He is hilarious!

He plays the piano and likes to make up ridiculous songs

The boys here know exactly where she is ticklish haha

Then we walked to the beach :) it was FREEZING!!

I swam for a while and then got out because it was just too cold to stay in for very long and I was honestly scared of what I was swimming with.  Larisa got stung by a jellyfish and was totally all tough about it... I think I would have cried like a baby!  So I sat on the shore with Malin and we just talked. I hope my friendship with her continues after I go home.  She is SO sweet!  She always tries to get everyone to speak english as much as possible and she just treats me like she loves me even though she hardly knows me.  She said she can't imagine going to a place and not understanding anything so she said she wants to make it as comfortable as possible for me.  That  meant a lot as I normally don't understand a word of what is being said.  She  understood exactly without me even saying anything!

When we got back to Malin's house, she had all  the girls rinse off in one shower (with our swimming suits on) and all of the guys rinse off in the other shower so that we could get in the hot tub without getting it too sandy.  She ran downstairs laughing her head off and said,  "O my heck you should see these boys!! They look so gay all squished in one shower!!"  So she took my camera to take pictures.  Peder of course thought he would make it as awkward as humanly possible... so all of the pictures have his butt in them... FULL MOON.  haha awesome.  I'll put the most appropriate one on here and leave out the rest ;)

After getting nice and warm, we played games and hung out :)

Because of all of the recent trauma in Norway, we lit candles and had a moment of silence.  I am not from Norway, but these events are devistating.  I said a silent prayer in my heart for all those who are suffering.  I prayed that one day they would be able to trust the police again.  I also prayed that those who might still be in danger would be protected.  I thought about 9/11 and how it was such a tragic experience for our country.  I remember being scared and not really knowing what to do.  My thoughts and prayers are with Norway today.

When Ruban tried to blow the candles out at the end of the night, he tried a little too hard and the wax went ALL OVER!  He had it caked on his face and later on facebook said that he thinks he came up with a new skin care product. haha He is Malin's boyfriend and he also is very nice and tries to speak english to me a lot.

This is Malin's dog, Alyssa.  She is SO well-behaved!  While we played cards, she just sat on the table and watched!  I was very impressed.
